In 1962, Paul de Moussac, an important figure of horse racing in France, bought the Mezeray Estate, located on the border of Orne and Calvados.
His passion for races and for horses, a family trait and also his taste for private enterprise brought about the creation of the HARAS DU MEZERAY, the now well-known stud farm. His black and gold colours would become famous.
Upon his death in 1995, his son, Charles-Henri, took up the challenge to continue the development of the stud. He diversified its activities by introducing horse rearing, pre-training, sales preparations and developing a stallion station, culminating in what are now established partnerships with the most famous members of the international racing world.
LE HARAS DE MEZERAY whose produces have reached very high levels of success, has become a major player in the European racecourse scene.
